"Considering Alternative Methods for Narcotic Addiction Recovery"
Across the world, many different countries have different views regarding how to combat drug addiction and reduce its effect on a person. Some more liberally minded countries have adopted some unique approaches to combating drug addiction. For instance, Switzerland has adopted a 4 pillar strategy, aimed at significantly reducing drug withdrawal symptoms entirely. These 4 pillars consist of early detection, therapy, counseling, and risk mitigation. The Swiss system involves the slow reduction of drug dosages over some time.
However, despite this, not all countries believe this is the right course of action. More conservatively leaning countries believe that the only way to solve drug addiction is to ban them from usage completely. This council will discuss the viability of alternative methods for narcotic addiction recovery under its mandate and how each country decides the appropriate response to the question.
