ASEAN
"Advancing Green Technology Commercialization"
Due to rising temperatures and increased CO2 emissions, numerous countries have decided to adopt green energy commercialization in recent years. Green energy commercialization is the process of transitioning novel, environmentally friendly energy technologies from the research and development stage to the market, where they are commercially feasible and widely available. This includes several processes, including developing new technologies, testing and refining them, and establishing a market for these innovations. Green energy commercialization aims to speed the transition to a low-carbon economy by making clean energy technology more accessible and cheap to consumers and industry, ultimately lowering greenhouse gas emissions and boosting sustainable development.
ASEAN has implemented green technology commercialization through a variety of policies and methods to expedite the transition to a low-carbon economy, affecting critical sectors. ASEAN countries have established aggressive renewable energy objectives in the past to push for the commercialization of green energy even further. The ASEAN council will focus on the individual approaches of different countries to adopting or determining the level of green energy commercialization. Delegates will debate its potential effects on the Southeast Asia region along with industrial society and its future.
